Beginning with white bead- board walls, and
sparkling white contemporary fixtures and
cabinets, Brett repainted the white walls with
the faded wood tones of weathered New
England cottages. The contrast between the
old in new is quite engaging. With the room
remaining neutral, focus is achieved with
colored accessories: a sea-foam green bar of
soap and a collection of cobalt glass. Visitors
close the door and are surprised by a splash of
faded Nantucket Red on the door.
